June 17 again...

Ok, this is way way overdue, but then u cant blame me right, I mean with exams and all how to put up a birthday post...lol..

If u refer back to the same post last year, the date June 17 is meant for the smart ppl, somehow those born on this particular date have to be smart wan...or at least I know 3 ppl with the birth date of 17 June.

1st we have the twins....haih..I havent seen them since they left for UK...We use to hang out together quite often...particularly when it approached exam dates haha...I would just study near them so I'd get a chance to ask them something which I didnt understand...Why u say they so smart? 1 get highest in Msia for A-Lvl results, the other get best in the world for further maths (which I failed -_____-"). Liddat how to say not smart?? I just got news that they will be going back to Msia in their summer break...which means its my winter and I have too short a time to go back...so means not gonna see them another yr..unless they come Melbourne la...hehe...Anyway, in view that our friendship has started since primary 1, thats 15 yrs ago, its been a blessing to me to be acknowledged by these future scientists as a friend..I have a strong feeling our friendship will last till I lay on my coffin bed...Sadly though, I don't have any pictures of them bcos I havent met them at all...

Next smart person ar, hahaha, proud to introduce the brains behind my revision, Melissa Seow....lol...Since the twins are not here, and they are taking a different course, I cant leech of them adi...However, I found a new smart person which I can leech of..hehe (epifitly not parasitly!!).

Well other than being a close friend to me, she can really be an open ear to problems and its been great for us to be able to share our spiritual journey as well. I can really be open with her about Christianity without having the paiseh feeling talking to some believers. Blessed with an annoited voice, she uses this talent given by God to reach out to others through leading worship in her church. I guess that I was really touched when she sang a solo at her church opening. I've been wanting to get the video of that song but to no avail...haih...

Most of the time when exam of assignment dateline approaches and I bug her the night b4 trying to sort things out...hehe..dun angry ok Mel.... :P but with her help she enabled me to understand complicated concepts and I'm really grateful for that..

So since she is in Melbourne, we got to celebrate her birthday with dinner and karaoke!! which was 4 days after her actual birthday..hahaha...

Then Sheryl came to surprise Mel with a cake. Wah another singer come liao..At this point I felt I can sau pei adi la...no need to sing adi, watch them sing only...lol

I wish I can give Jonathan a better birthday party than this wan.... wooooohooooooo..nice nice...

Mel and her Chocolate card!!! The presents that she received was a chocolate handmade card from Jun Wey..cool idea..sincere from the heart, home made cookies from Pei Xian, took her some time juz to make the delicious chocolate cookies, in fact it took her the whole afternoon...sincerity ^ 100, cost of time spend was worth it for Mel, and a book from me, bought from Borders, time spent minimum, home made effort zero...haih...noob....

Lets make some simple calculations:

Australia average salary per hour = AUD15 = RM45 (FX AUD1=RM3)
Malaysia average salary per hour = RM5 (this is adi higher then McD or Kenny Rogers!!)

ratio of petrol per litre to 8 hrs working day: -
in Aus : AUD1.35 x 3 / RM45 x 8 = 0.01125
in Mas (used to be) : 1.92 / RM5 x 8 = 0.048
can u see the difference? how much of petrol is worth in a typical aussie dude compared to a typical Malaysian dude..ok u may argue that I'm taking a very low wage rate in Malaysia but even if i double the wage, the ratio would be 0.024 which is still significantly higher than in Australia...

Now, the new ratio in Mas : 2.70 / RM40 = 0.0675

0.0675!!! compared to a 0.01125!!!...we can start walking in Malaysia adi....thx to the petrol hike, now transportation cost gonna go up...and then EVERYTHING goes up...GG!!! I'm gonna invent a machine that can make us drink water and pee petrol....

I remember once Jason told me not to say the words "I no money".
Cos if u do, u are actually cursing yourself as God might have wanted to bless u financially but u keep saying I NO MONEY hindering that blessing from reaching u. So when you feel u are financially tight and cant afford to spend on useless items then say, "I am GOING to be blessed financially but not yet." Why do I suddenly talk about this?

Ok, I went to the city yesterday to watch What Happens in Vegas with Ida and her frens (whom were a couple we so lamp-posted). [thx Dorcas for the ffk...really appreciate it :( ] Ok so we were there quite early and decided to do some shopping...or the better term would be window shopping (haih..ppl nowadays ar, indulge in looking at things they wont buy..wat man). Most of the time people window shop bcos they do not have the money so the usual conversation props up.

Me: U noe Jason say don't say that, not good, say I haven't been blessed financially YET (technically this is also not appropriate as I'm sure at one point u were fully blessed by God financially).Then I explained the story as above ^^

Me: errrrr (who is this fella is he trying to sell us tickets?)
SG: Yea, its 2 tickets, it expires today after 5, I'm just going to give it to u, bcos I have no time to watch.
At this point we were quite blur before I finally realised..
Me: Yea sure...thx man..
SG: No problem, bye...

Ida: Wah, faster check check can use anot
Me: That was weird..but cool..
Ida: Hey, it really does work...saying I'm GONNA be blessed financially..now we don't have to pay for our movie tickets..
Me: Yea, it does work...but don't be too happy, lets see if we can use it 1st..

Me: Oops no..we cant use it..
Ida: why why why why?
Me: The ticket is for Village cinemas, we're at hoyts...
Ida: Aaahhh..say too fast adi.( she checks her phone and the nxt movie at village is at 5.10, means expired ticket!!)
Me: haha..well it almost worked, so keep saying it!!!

Joy, followed by despair.. we still got tickets at a cheaper rate though, cos her fren had the ticket vouchers..but I rather looked at it as 10 dollars spent than 10 dollars we COULD have saved..
