Diminishing growth in God...

Can u remember the first time when we felt God's presence. The first time he answered our prayers. The first time we see things in a different prespective. The first time we felt calm knowing that He is on our side...
.
.
Where do we stand today? How is that flame kept alive, or has it been put out by the devil's extinguisher?
.
Jeremiah 2:2 - I remember the devotion of your youth, how as a bride you loved me and followed me through the desert, through a land not sown.
v5 - What fault did you fathers find in me, that they strayed so far from me?
.
.
I know that we are suppose to grow, cos we are constantly fed by spiritual food...but sometimes we have expectations on where we intend to grow up to. But when it comes to that point, do we really feel like we are really that spiritually mature?
.
.
Its been clearly shown of how the people of the past were. Its no different today. We see many back-sliders, many cases of incidents that put leaders to shame, the sudden feeling that u think church isn't all that great after all bcos we are so judgemental in how we think. Oh look, its the offering bag, I wonder where the money goes to. Sending it to the poor children in Africa, or funding that multi-million dollar church building. In the wake of trying to expand, we need a bigger church area, therefore new building, therefore need money. We lose that confidence in churches because we tend to think, how could God let such a thing like that happen?
.
.
Its not the 1st time we hear about straying away. We have Abram, Saul, David, Samson, Moses, Judas, Peter all had their part in straying away even for the slightest moment. So its not a big deal to realise when we have strayed away, but its a big deal when we don't deal with it. I noe how I was last year, and I also noe how I am this year in terms of devotion, acknowledgement and obedience to God. Saul went further away from God and eventually commited suicide (caused his son Jonathan to die as well...issshhh..) Abram returned to the Lord. So who do we want to be? Saul or Abram?
.
If we see a friend begin to stray away, bring him back. Bring him back to the point where he 1st experienced God. Bring him back to the place where he could just place everything in His hands and trust him. Bring him back to where he could rely on God and not his own strength. Bring him back to the path which God has set for him and let His will be done. Don't conform to listening to the worldly matters that drags us away from Him, instead realise that the relationship you have with God is only between you and God that external factors are to be cut off...
.
.
What do u want Jesus to say when we reach heaven? Away from me as I don't know you, or well done my good and faithful servant? :)

BFF..

Ok so if u have not heard the term bff then u are not up to date with the current simplifications. BFF = best fren forever..
.
Ok why bring it up? Well basically we all know Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie were bff's rite, but then Nicole decided to get married and pregnant and give birth. With all the new responsibilities as a mum and wife she can no longer have those partying days thus lead her to announce that she's moving into a different phase of life. That gives birth to the reality series where Paris starts searching for a new bff!! (ok technically the last f means forever which means it cant change wan, but wat the heck, they are juz words rite).
.
This inspired XiaXue to say, "I want a new bff too!!!" Cos well lets face it, all her friends were getting married and working while she earns juz by being nocturnal and blogging away...
.
Lets juz say, my bff, has now got a bf. Guys noe wat exactly I mean, less time with the bff as she prioritises bf over bff rite...Everybody girl that gets into a relationship sure claim that it wouldn't happen but come on la, its a fact ok, spend more time with bf = spend less time with bff (not that I was spending much time with her anyway)..
.
In short, conclusion is, need to find new BFF toooooooo.........

Simple Maths..

Time is money, therefore Time = Money
Knowledge is Power, therefore Knowledge = Power
.
.
Hey, I don need to be engineer, juz basic Physics to noe that;
Power = Work/Time,
.
.
Subsitute time as money and power as knowledge, we get;
Knowledge = Work / Money, which can be rearranged to;

Money = Work / Knowledge,

work is held constant, and as knowledge decreases, money approaches infinity.
.
Conclusion, the less knowledge u have, the more money gonna drop from sky to u...lol
.
.
Credit to Wingz/Uncle Rojaks for this beautiful maths equations...

Arrogant Idiot

U noe how many ppl tend to tell u all the differences between the aussies and the asians and how the cultural difference is shown clearly. Well for instance theres the racism. There's alot of comments saying that there are many aussies we run into that are racist. Like how some tram drivers will stop for another aussie bloke but when they see an asian dude running towards the tram they'll go like..hahaha, no way I'm letting this asian get onto the tram and they'll just close the door and rush off -___-". Then there's the friendly-ness of ppl. Asians tend to just hang around asians and not mingle around with the aussies, I mean lets face it, they white we yellow equals no same. But the aussies don't mind juz mixing around. I noe so many aussie dudes juz coming up to u and go like "hey man, how's it going?"
.
.
Then theres the openness culture. Aussies tend to show pda more often like hugging when they see a fren, giving a peck on the cheek. While the asians will like shake hands and hug only if ur like super close. Heck the aussies can even find some random stranger in the bar and take her home to errr....lets not get there (yea, juz look up stats on avg age of teens losing their virginity between westerns and asians). I dont even bother looking it up and I adi noe the difference.
.
.
But the one thing that I find amusing in Australia is the manners of the public servants. Sure some of them are racist but then if u are able to find a friendly aussie, he'll juz bring himself to ur lvl and talk to u. Don get wat I mean? Ok, lets say a tram cleaner gets onto the tram, he wont think himself of a lower lvl of society and juz talk to u like a normal fren. In Asia there's this hierachy where oh cleaners are lower lvls so dun talk to them and they wont talk to u. If its a tram inspector, after asking for ur tickets he wont abuse his power and can even crack a joke with the commuters. I dont have to elaborate on the police in Asia abusing their power bcos they think they have this "I am the law status!!"
.
.
Just earlier I reach back by train and I saw the digital board stating the nxt bus is at 7.23. Well considering the time was 6.53, it couldnt be right cos the bus intervals are every 15 mins. So I looked at the normal board and the departure time stated was 7.08. So I wanted to ask the bus driver. I knocked on the bus door and this old asian man was inside. He knew I was waiting but he took his own sweet time in drinking his water then opening the door. This was wat happenned:
Me: Excuse me, but does this bus leave at 7.08 and 7.23?
Bus Driver (BD): *stares at me with tulan face*...huh? why u telling me all these times for?
Me: *shocked at his rudeness* Cos the digital board says 7.23 and this board says 7.08
BD: I dunno.........
Me: ?
BD: All I noe is I'm leaving in 12 mins
Me: kthxbai..
.
.
I'm so shocked at the attitude he gave me, so rude. I bet if it was some aussie driver he'll give a smile and tell me the exact time. I mean yea so he's older than me, so I respected him in asking him politely, but his reply was as if I was some small kid who didnt know better...but after all these, an aussie would take down the bus number and that guys name and send in a formal complain to Connex. I, as an asian, walk away and complain about it on my blog cos I'm juz too darn lazy to do anything about it...lol...

Series..

Ok...eventhough I'm attempting to switch into the all study mode, it still doesn't mean I don't watch series. Not a good thing? Well thankfully I don't find the urgency to watch any of the Korean dramas which I can get so addicted to...Yeah!!..
.
.
But anyway, it was a while ago when I decided on the few series I would follow. At first I pick One Tree Hill....that was a must watch!! Romance and basketball seems to be a good storyline to follow..sadly enough there are not enough OTH fans around..haih...
.
.
Then I watch Heroes as well. Couldn't help not watching bcos I actually saw the 1st season back in Malaysia and wat happens when u start watching the 1st season, yea, u get hooked and u try to follow to continue the never-ending storyline.
.
.
Nope, I didnt watch prison break. I noe some of u guys are gonna kill me for this but then I noe its good, I've seen a couple of episodes and its really very exciting/interesting but then considering I didnt follow the 1st season, I might as well spare myself from getting addicted to it. Well at least not yet la....maybe wait for one of the other series to end or die down. But I'm sure eventually one day I will watch Prison Break.
.
.
Gossip Girl!! ah, this is a chick series. While I'm sure some of u ppl noe that my fav genre of movies is romance/romantic comedy (guys who like chick flicks are a rare species!!). Up till now I cannot find any other guy who shares the same interest in romantic movies like me. Just like Heaven, How to lose a guy in 10 days, 27 dresses, Made of Honor, Definitely Maybe, The Notebook, Love Actually, 10 things I hate about u, wah all these are so chun man...lol...not to say I dont like action or suspense but if I were to choose, I'd go for romantic comedy 1st..back to gossip girl, I've been wanting to watch this, but I keep forgetting to get the 1st season of those who have it. Can someone remind me?? lol...
.
.
I watched the 1st few seasons of Smallville. Then I stopped, cos it got confusing, and too many ppl on the show having powers. but then I heard it was season finale of season 7 so I decided to just watch that last episode. Now I'm into the season 8. I never did actually follow much about the Clark-Lana storyline. Wats the point, eventually we noe Clark is gonna fall in love with Lois instead. As for now, Smallville can change its name to Superman adi. The show takes it to the point where Clark shifts to Metropolis, works at the Daily Planet, and is Lois's partner there. Lana is now missing/gone/kapoot/byebye. Why bother calling it Smallville, when its not at Smallville!!
.
.
The downside of watching all these up to date, is we gotta wait a week for that one episode. The next episode of Smallville featured Lois being tortured and admitting to the kidnapper that she loves Clark, right in front of him!! And its only out on Thursday!! which means the torrent releases on Friday night..Thats a week from now!!!!....haih.....no choice lo...
.
.
Well, at least I can back to study while waiting....oh wait, I've got soccer now!! -____-"

6th October....again

I'm guessing this month, there's gonna be a lot of birthday wishes to send out. I seem to have a lot of close friends having their birthdays at the end of the month.
.
.
But anyway, if u refer back to one year ago, today is the birthday of a girl whom I have known for 20 years now!! Lol..doesn't help that I'm only 21 right..anyway, due to the closeness of my parents and her parents since their studying days, meeting them would be like a weekly event....at the badminton court though...or the occasionall gambling routine at one of the houses..hehe...
.
.
Happy Birthday Amy Tee Mei Sim(no Sim, not u :P), may all ur dreams and wishes come true...God bless....I will be seeing u when I get back..hahaha...then u have another person to bully u adi, other than ur sister :P
.
.
Oh, I found a nice picture of u...

Pick one which u like to be :P :P
.
.
or u can be all la if u want...Enjoy the year ahead!!!

Things I want on my birthday...

Turning 21 is very exciting, I mean thats the main threshold, once u pass 21 u can do anything, from Genting to renting a car in Australia, to being called an adult. For girls, they would be saying like aiya, getting so old. I want to be 21 and stay 21...hehe...
.
.
Now everybody wants something on their birthday, be it presents or special cards or wishes, so I decided to make a list of things I want on my birthday....but of course I dont expect them -.-
.
.
1) A letter by the Melbourne Uni stating I have already passed every subject this semester without having to take the final exams
2) My dad tell me his criteria is pushed forward to next sem and not this sem
3) Receive a brain program that can install all lecture materials into my head
4) Qualify for the finals of the AUG badminton tournament (semi-finals are on thursday)
5) A guitar that is absolutely so expensive I can never afford it
6) A BMW Z4
7) Friends from Malaysia come surprise me
8) Jay Chou's new CD
9) 10000 bucks enters my bank account
10) Jesus comes into my room at 12 am and tells me, "Happy Birthday my son"
.
.
Adding probabilities for each 'want' to happen and dividing by 10 to get the average, the result would be err............close to 0...lol
.
.
have a good day ppl,
